Brief History of Air Jordan’s

 

Michael Jordan the greatest NBA player of all time. Before his prime in 1985 he signed a $2.5millon deal with Nike. Over the course of season, Mike dominated, finishing as the Rookie of the Year but among the fans, he was the MVP (Most valuable Player). Then first Air Jordan’s were designed by Peter Moore. A prototype Red and Black Air colourway, known as the Nike Air ship, was banned by the NBA authorities for breaching the 51 percent rule. Which means 51 percent of the shoe colour must be in white, but it didn’t stop mike from wearing the Air Jordan 1 on court. It wasn’t a complete ban there was only a fine of $5000 per game. Nike recognised the unique marketing opportunity, opting to pay the fine for each time Michael Jordan wore the shoes in the game and
the era of Air Jordan’s was born.
